Third gender, transgender or Kinnar, whatever it is called, these people were hundred percent marginalized not only in our society but in all societies world over. Though these Transgenders take birth from same mother, yet the same parents who give them birth simply dump them. They are ostracized from the society.
Now, picture has changed, thanks to the pains and struggles of Transgenders like Vidya Rajput and Veena Sendre, Supreme Court of India granted equality rights to Third Genders. Now, they are breathing a sense of equality in our society. Not only this, transgender marriages have become reality.

In Raipur, 15 transgender couples tied their knot. The beauty of this marriage was that all the grooms were normal males from general society who married transfemales of Third Gender Community. This Transgender Marriage has taken Pan India hue as 7 couples were from Chhattisgarh, 2 couples from Gujrat, 2 from West Bengal etc.

Film producer Mr.Sharma of Chitra Films from Mumbai and Vidya Rajput of Mitwa Samiti took initiative and their vision got realised on 30th March-2019, the penultimate day of World Transgender Day on 31st March; when these 15 couple tied their knot with all social fanfare and rituals. This Kinnar Marriage has sent a positive message to society that India as whole is changing. It is now embracing the even Third Genders as their own. The presence and blessing by Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel shows that CG Govt is determined to enforce Equality Rights in CG as far as Transgenders are concerned.This Transgender Marriage has entered into Golden Book of World Records.
