Chief Minister inaugurates the new Deputy Registrar Office in Sector-29 of Nava Raipur

“State Government is committed to simplify and improve the processes of services related to common people, said Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the new Deputy Registrar Office in Sector 29, Nava Raipur, through video conferencing from his residence office today. This newly-inaugurated office in Nava Raipur would provide registration facility to people of total 41 villages, including 6 villages of Nava Raipur, 20 of Arang and 15 villages of Abhanpur block. Earlier people of these villages had to come all the way to Raipur, 40 km away, to get their registry-related works, but now this facility is available for them in the close vicinity.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also inaugurated the scanning and digitization work of registration department’s backlog documents. He also launched the digital e-stamp facility in the program. Mr. Baghel interacted with Mrs. Rekha Kosle of village Parsada, who had come to Deputy Registrar’s office in Nava Raipur for registration related work. Mrs. Kosale informed Chief Minister that she is buying a plot of land in Mandir Hasaud. Registry of 962 square feet of her land plot in Mandir Hasaud has been done. In the programme, Registry Documents were handed over to Mrs. Kosale. Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal joined the program from Korba. Parliamentary Secretary Commercial Tax (Registration) Mr. Inder Shah Mandavi, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu, Secretary Commercial Tax Mr. Niranjan Das, Inspector General of Registration and Stamps Ms. Iffat Ara, Deputy Inspector General of Registration and Stamps Mr. Sushil Khalko were present at the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion. Representatives of National e-Governance Service Limited and Bank of Baroda also participated in the programme.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that in last two and a half year, State Government has been taking consistent steps to improve governance and administration. The process of getting birth certificate and caste certificate issued, the works related to conversion and registry has become simpler and easier than before. From year 2018 to present, State Government has decided to constitute 5 new districts and 72 new tehsils for public convenience. Chief Minister said that State Government is formulating schemes to provide services and facilities to the beneficiaries at their doorstep. Various decisions such as direct payment in the bank accounts of women SHGs engaged in various tasks, 22 services related to RTO at the doorstep of beneficiaries have simplified the process for the beneficiaries. Records such as Maps, Khasra, B-1 are now available online.
Chief Minister said that at present, there are 98 registry offices in Chhattisgarh. Including this office of Nava Raipur, the number of registry offices has reached 99. These registry offices play an important role in the development of the state. In year 2020-21, Chhattisgarh has collected the revenue of Rs 1589 crore from the registry of documents. This include revenue collection of Rs 545 crore from Raipur district alone i.e. 34% of the total revenue collection under registry department.
Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal said that in last two and a half years, Registry Department has collected more revenue than the given target. He congratulated people of the area on opening of the new registry office in Nava Raipur. He said that 30% reduction in guide line rates for purchase and sale of land and exemption in registry fee has benefitted people of the state to a great extent.
